They Want to Steal Your Vote.
We Won't Let Them.
Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 will abolish your right to directly elect your President, extend Mnangagwa's rule to 2030, and destroy Zimbabwe's democratic institutions. The Constitution says NO.
What is CAB3? 7 Deadly Changes to Your Constitution
The Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill was gazetted on 16 February 2026. Here's what it does to your rights:
Kills Your Vote for President
Replaces direct popular election of the President with parliamentary selection. Zimbabweans will no longer vote for their President.
Extends Terms to 7 Years
Stretches presidential, parliamentary, and local authority terms from 5 to 7 years. Keeps Mnangagwa in power until 2030.
10 Extra Appointed Senators
President can appoint 10 additional Senators, expanding Senate from 80 to 90 — making it easier to secure supermajorities.
Takes Back Voter Roll Control
Transfers voter registration from the independent Zimbabwe Electoral Commission back to the presidentially-appointed Registrar-General.
Abolishes Gender Commission
Repeals the Zimbabwe Gender Commission entirely, removing a key institution for gender equality and women's rights.
Abolishes Peace Commission
Dissolves the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission — the institution tasked with addressing political violence and historical injustices.
Removes Judicial Oversight
President no longer needs Judicial Service Commission advice to appoint the Prosecutor-General. Prosecutorial power concentrated in the executive.

A Referendum Is Required.
Defines a "term-limit provision" as any provision limiting the length of time a person may hold public office. Changing 5 years to 7 years IS a term-limit amendment.
An amendment to a term-limit provision cannot benefit the person who held that office before the amendment. Mnangagwa cannot legally benefit.
To remove the protection of Section 328(7), you must amend Section 328 itself — which requires a national referendum.
The government claims they're changing the "electoral cycle," not "term limits." This is semantic gymnastics. The effect is identical: the incumbent stays longer.
Parliament alone cannot pass this. A REFERENDUM IS CONSTITUTIONALLY REQUIRED.
