URGENT: CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS

They Want to Steal Your Vote.
We Won't Let Them.

What is CAB3? 7 Deadly Changes to Your Constitution

The Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill was gazetted on 16 February 2026. Here's what it does to your rights:

1

Kills Your Vote for President

Replaces direct popular election of the President with parliamentary selection. Zimbabweans will no longer vote for their President.

2

Extends Terms to 7 Years

Stretches presidential, parliamentary, and local authority terms from 5 to 7 years. Keeps Mnangagwa in power until 2030.

3

10 Extra Appointed Senators

President can appoint 10 additional Senators, expanding Senate from 80 to 90 — making it easier to secure supermajorities.

4

Takes Back Voter Roll Control

Transfers voter registration from the independent Zimbabwe Electoral Commission back to the presidentially-appointed Registrar-General.

5

Abolishes Gender Commission

Repeals the Zimbabwe Gender Commission entirely, removing a key institution for gender equality and women's rights.

6

Abolishes Peace Commission

Dissolves the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission — the institution tasked with addressing political violence and historical injustices.

7

Removes Judicial Oversight

President no longer needs Judicial Service Commission advice to appoint the Prosecutor-General. Prosecutorial power concentrated in the executive.
